Ayutthaya or Ayodhaya of Thailand

Every one knows the Ayodhya which is the birth place of Rama in Uttara Pradesh India. Very few people know that there is another city Ayutthaya which is named after Ayodhya. This is in Thailand between 1350 AD to 1767 AD. This indicates the influence of Hinduism in Thailand at that time. It is believed that this city is associated with the Thai National epic
Ramakien which is the South Eastern version of Indian epic RAMAYANA. for more information on Ayutthaya please see

Mantra of eight letters Om Namo Narayanaya Namaha

Always love this and wanted to share that, one of the Great Gurus of Vaishastadvaita is Sri Ramanuja....I always discuss about this topic in the Inter-Religious faith and Spiritual Meetings/Satsangs.

Would like to bring to the attention of the devotees, How Ramanuja lived as a great saint and lived for sake of humanity. He has to disobey his master or guru -not the real master- Lord Vishnu, but the person in the village who was teaching him Nambi-the Guru about salvation.

One day Nambi asked Ramanuja to make a promise that he has a Secret Mantra which is very powerful and he would be happy to share with him - That was "Om Namo Narayana" This Mantra is really an awesome and powerful one. Those who repeat this Mantra will attain salvation. and what not ".You also get peace and happiness as well.

In this process,Ramanuja took a bold step in the interest of humanity , since he had a very large heart. He was extremely compassionate and his love for humanity was boundless-We cannot express the amount he loved humanity-really compassionate, sincere and honest. He wanted that every soul (could be man or woman) should enjoy the eternal bliss of Lord Narayana-The ULTIMATE. He immediately called all people, irrespective of caste and creed, to assemble before the temple. He stood on top of the tower above the front gate of the temple, and shouted out the sacred Mantra to all of them at the top of his voice. Nambi, his Guru, came to know of this. He was extremely upset of the situation. He became furious. Ramanuja himself went and confessed to his GURU and requested, please give me suitable punishment for this act/deed. Ramanuja is FRANK, Honest, TRUTHFUL. In the court of GOD, GOD always loves frankness, honesty, truth, integrity , and direct messages. Ramanuja was prepared to suffer for this consequences.

Ramanuja said: "I will gladly suffer the tortures of hell myself if millions of people could get salvation by hearoning the Mantra through me". Nambi was very much pleased with Ramanuja and found out that he had a very large heart full of compassion. He embraced Ramanuja and blessed him. Having thus equipped himself with the necessary qualifications, Ramanuja succeeded Yamuna.

This is GREAT MORAL STORY on how Saint Ramanuja -GURU or Founder of Vaishastadvaita loves humanity and how he incorporates in reality.

Thanks & Best Regards
Sri
